2007 - New Orleans : ArenaBowl XXI: The San Jose SaberCats win their third ArenaBowl by defeating the Columbus Destroyers 55-33. This is the third neutral site ArenaBowl, played before a sold-out crowd of 17,056 at the New Orleans Arena.
1999 - Chicago, IL : Owners Alan M. Levin and Walter Payton purchase the rights to an AFL expansion franchise for the windy city. The Chicago Rush will begin play in 2001.
1989 - Cincinnati, OH : Riverfront Coliseum hosts its' first AFL contest as the Chicago Bruisers defeat the Maryland Commandos, 61-27, in front of 7,301 fans.
