2017 - Las Vegas, NV : The Arena Football League and Twitter announce a partnership to stream five regular season games worldwide for the 2017 season.

1994 - Chicago, IL : Jim Drucker is named the third Commissioner of the Arena Football League.

1991 - Columbus, OH : The Columbus Thunderbolts' inaugural regular-season home game is played before 3,800 fans at the State Fair Arena. Columbus lost the contest to the Dallas Texans, 33-12.

1991 - St. Petersburg, FL : The Tampa Bay Storm's inaugural regular-season home game is played before 10,354 fans at the Florida Suncoast Dome (ThunderDome). Cross-state rival Orlando Predators best the Storm, 51-38. This was the first game in what became known as the War on I-4, the greatest rivalry in AFL history.
