San Antonio Talons celebrate fans at final game of 2013

 Discounted 2014 season tickets on sale now; pregame festivities include free food and live music

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Talons are poised to finish out the regular season Saturday night at the Alamodome against the Philadelphia Soul, and are celebrating their dedicated fans with pregame festivities. Discounted season tickets for the 2014 season will be on sale, with significant price reductions in certain sections.

Kickoff is now set for 8:00 p.m. due to national television scheduling on CBS Sports Network, but tailgating and festivities begin at noon in Lot C. Free Augie’s Barbecue and live music starts at 4:30 p.m. in the North Plaza. The first 1,000 fans into the Alamodome will score a free team poster and get autographs on the field from Talons players, coaches, Sky Dancers and fan favorite mascot, Swoop, immediately following the game.

Season tickets can be renewed or purchased in front of Section 101, and all purchases will include a $10 merchandise voucher. Fans that purchase season tickets are guaranteed their money back upon written request before the first game of the 2014 season, no questions asked. Season ticket holders are entitled to merchandise discounts, special invitations to exclusive events, and ticket holder pricing when purchasing additional tickets.

“We have the greatest sports entertainment product in San Antonio, and we want our fans to know that we guarantee the best product will be on the field in 2014,” David Lynd, owner of the San Antonio Talons, said.

The 2013 season closes out with a 500 percent increase in season ticket holders over 2012, and the Talons social media fan base has more than doubled.

"We are very pleased that more that 25 percent of our season ticket holders have chosen to renew their tickets for the 2014 season," Keith Recine, Executive Vice President, said. "We are overwhelmed with the generous support from our San Antonio fans, and are looking forward to the 2014 season."

“We are convinced the Talons will be making an Arena Bowl run in 2014,” Lynd said. “And we are looking forward to developing more opportunities for our fans that include an official fan club, online store for Talons merchandise, and scheduled watch parties across the city.”
