Soul Hughley earns Ironman, Rush Perry Rookie of Year

 NEW ORLEANSPhiladelphia Soul WR JEFF HUGHLEY was named the J. Lewis Small Ironman of the Year and Chicago Rush WR JARED PERRY was named the NET10 Rookie of the Year, announced the League Office today.

Hughley (5-8, 175, Averett) was a threat to his opponents week by week, as he started in all eighteen games in 2012. The defending ArenaBowl XXIV champion finished the 2012 regular season with 77 receptions for 1,001 yards and 19 touchdowns. Hughley also notched 92 returns, five of which he returned for touchdowns, and 1,865 kick return yards. He finished his 2012 campaign with 2,885 all-purpose yards and earned himself an Ironman award for three consecutive weeks.

Perry (6-1, 180, Missouri) was named NET10 Rookie of the Year after finishing the regular season with 133 receptions for 1,811 yards and 31 touchdowns, the second-highest rookie receiving total in AFL history. Perry landed at No. 20 on the AFL’s Top 25 Players for the 2012 season.
