Rattlers beef up their defense

MESA, Ariz. - February 16, 2012 
 
The AZ Rattlers announce that Kevin McCullough and Marcus Pittman have been assigned for the 2012 Season.
 
McCullough started in 15 games for the Rattlers in 2011 in the regular-season, where he collected 65.5 tackles, three of which were for loss, one sack, five interceptions, six pass break-ups and two fumble recoveries.
 
McCullough will be entering his fifth season in Arena Football, second with the Rattlers. He previously played for the Spokane Shock and Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz.   In 2010 he registered 40 tackles, two INTSs, and two TDs for Oklahoma City.
 
Pittman started in all 18 of the Rattlers regular-season games. The defensive lineman collected 27.5 tackles, 8.5 sacks, one interception, five pass break-ups, one fumble recovery and two forced fumbles. Pittman's sack total is the most in Rattlers single-season history.
