Orlando Predators edge Tampa Bay Storm, 69-62, in "War on I-4" battle

 TAMPA BAY – Orlando quarterback Randy Hippeard kept up his magic leading the Predators over his former team the Tampa Bay Storm, 69-62, in an Arena Football League game Saturday at the Amalie Arena. A season-high crowd of 15,835 looked on to another War on I-4 battle.

The win solidifies the Predators (9-6, 3-1) hold on first place in the American Conference South Division while the Storm (6-8, 2-2)

Hippeard, the Russell Athletic Offensive Player of the Game, finished with 346 yards on 24 of 33 and seven touchdowns. He came into the game with 76 percent completion rate and was 12 of 13 for 193 yards and four TDs in the first half alone.

T.T. Toliver led the Storm, grabbing 10 Jason Boltus passes for 174 yards and four touchdowns. Boltus, who play a year ago in Orlando, was 25-38 for 363 and six scores.

Next week, Saturday July 18, Tampa Bay travels to the ‘Big Easy’ to take on the New Orleans VooDoo (2-12) at 8:00 p.m. ET inside of Smoothie King Center. This is the third and final matchup of the 2015 Arena Football League season. Tampa Bay won the previous two meetings, both at AMALIE Arena.
