Jasper Seals The Deal For The VooDoo In Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE (July 14, 2014) — The New Orleans VooDoo defeated the Jacksonville Sharks in a 36-35 Barnburner after a kick from the boot of former LSU All-American Josh Jasper sailed through the up-rights from 27 yards out.

VooDoo QB Adam Kennedy played lights out against the Sharks. Kennedy finished 18-36-1 for 176 yards and 4 passing touchdowns. Kennedy also rushed for 18 yards on 7 carries for 1 touchdown.

Courtney Smith shined for the VooDoo hauling in 7 passes for 50 yards and 4 touchdowns. Smiths 2nd touchdown catch of the night vaulted him over the boards, and straight onto Sportscenter's Top 10 Plays.

Chris Duvalt returned to the VooDoo after an ACL tear in week 8 of the 2013 season. Duvalt hauled in 4 passes for 47 yards.

Defensively, Cameron McGlenn continued to shine. McGlenn finished with 13 Tackles and a forced fumble.

The New Orleans VooDoo return home Saturday, July 19th to take on Division Rival Orlando Predators. Kickoff is set for 7:00pm, and the game will be broadcast on 99.5 WRNO, Pelican Sports Network, and ESPN3.
