White joins UFL's Hartford Colonials

August 24, 2010 – Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today that WR Markee White has signed with the Hartford Colonials of the UFL.

In last week’s ArenaBowl victory over the Tampa Bay Storm, White was named the Offensive Player of the Game after he recorded a team-leading nine receptions for 99 yards with four touchdowns. White’s second touchdown was named as SportsCenter’s Top Play of the day.

In only eight games during the regular season, White collected 66 receptions for 925 yards with 18 touchdowns.

In two seasons with Spokane, White helped capture an ArenaCup victory (2009) and an ArenaBowl Championship (2010).

“I’m so proud of Markee; this is an excellent opportunity for him that he deserves. With his size and his speed, I know he will thrive in the outdoor game,” Head Coach Rob Keefe said. “This is what it is all about; we want to win, have fun while we are doing it, and move our players to the next level.”
