Team to Honor Coach Marcum on Reaching 200 Victories
TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Storm host the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz at the St. Pete Times Forum on Faith and Family Night this Saturday, June 5 at 7:30 PM. In addition the team will honor Head Coach Tim Marcum on reaching his 200th career victory in the AFL and host a charity flag football game featuring local Tampa Bay media members prior to the evening’s contest.
As part of Faith and Family Night, contemporary Christian artist Faith Michelle will perform pre-game from 5:30 on the Plaza Stage and Storm quarterbacks Brett Dietz and Drew Weatherford will give a faith based message to all Faith and Family Night ticket buyers post game. WTBN 570 & 910 AM will work with Florida Blood Services to provide tickets to a future Storm game for those that donate blood.
To honor Coach Marcum Bright House Sports Network will provide a commemorative Coach Marcum card sheet to the first 5,000 fans. In addition, fans can sign an oversized card located on the West Plaza prior to the game congratulating Coach Marcum on his 200th career victory.
There will be a charity media flag football game on the Storm field consisting of two 20 minute halves. Arena doors will be open at 4:30 PM for fans wishing to sneak a peak at local radio, TV and newspaper personalities taking part in the Grudge Match. The Lightning Foundation will host a 50/50 raffle throughout the evening with proceeds benefitting the Angelus Foundation and American Cancer Society.
Pre-game festivities will kickoff on the West Plaza at 4:30 PM as fans greet the Storm players as they walk the Red Carpet upon arrival to the Arena from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Kids can participate in arts and crafts in the MetroPCS area to make a Storm poster for the game. The team will honor Jefferson High School football player Quentin Williams on receiving the St. Petersburg Times Offensive Player of the Year.
Other activities and promotions planned for the evening include:
· Tampa Bay Storm players will walk the red carpet on the West Plaza between 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM.
· The Lightning Fan Zone will be up on the plaza for children to enjoy pre-game.
· Coach Marcum will be honored with a banner raising, video tribute and additional pre-game features.
· The opportunity to get autographs from Tampa Bay Storm players and dancers on the field immediately following the game.
· Following the autograph session fans can meet their favorite player in Shots Restaurant.
Fans have a tremendous opportunity to take advantage of various upgrades and offers:
· $10 upgrades for endzone seats, $20 for sideline seats, $25 for the All You Can Eat Seats in the Channelside Club (food and soft drinks) and $35 per game to upgrade to the XO VIP Club (free food, soft drink, beer and wine).
· Additionally the Storm will offer a variety of ticket packages including single-game tickets in the 98ROCK section for $9.80, the seats include a t-shirt and $3 Coors Light throughout the game.
· Mingle’s Maniacs seats are available for $25; fans get to watch the game seated next to DJ Minglemixx during the game.
