Crush go up against former star Damien Harrell for first time
DENVER, Colo.- Fox Sports Net and The Colorado Crush (1-1) are pleased to announce that this Saturday’s game against the Chicago Rush has been picked up to be broadcast on FSN Rocky Mountain when the two bitter division rivals go head-to-head in Chicago.
The game was picked up by the network late this week and will be televised on a tape delay at 8:30 pm MST.
The game also marks the first game the Crush will be going up against former teammate and star player Damian Harrell, who departed to Chicago via free agency this offseason after five seasons in Colorado. Harrell is the Crush all-time leader in every major statistical receiving category including catches, yards, and touchdowns.
“It is going to be a little strange to see him line-up on the other side of the ball,” defensive back Rashad Floyd said. “He was here for a long time and he was a popular guy in the locker room but there is no hard feelings.”
The game also features Crush head coach Mike Dailey’s chance to become just the fourth coach in AFL history to reach the coveted 100 regular season win mark. Currently the 12-year coach sits at 99-67. He will be going against the man who sits right above him in the record books and longtime friend of 25 years, Rush head coach Mike Hohensee.
This game also marks the third time in the team’s first four games to be televised at either the national or local level on ESPN or FSN. The Crush will also be televised on FSN Rocky Mountain on March 30 when they take on the New Orleans VooDoo, their second game at Pepsi Center in 2008.
