Sippio, Jones, and Filer receive ArenaFan.com Week Three honors

Offensive Player of the Week: Bobby Sippio scored five touchdowns on nine receptions for 135 yards and rushed four times for 25 yards to help the Chicago Rush defeat the New York Dragons 61-40. Sippio is in his fourth AFL season, having spent two years with Dallas and a partial season with Tampa Bay before joining the ArenaBowl champions midway through the 2006 season.
Other players considered for the ArenaFan.com Week Three Offensive Player of the Week were Dan Alexander (Nashville Kats), Rodney Filer (Tampa Bay Storm), Joe Germaine (Utah Blaze), Damian Harrell (Colorado Crush), Kenny Higgins (Nashville Kats), and Josh White (Dallas Desperados).
Defensive Player of the Week: Jermaine Jones had two interceptions, six total tackles and two pass breakups in the Dallas Desperados 66-54 victory over the Kansas City Brigade. Jones, who was named to the All-Rookie team in 2003, is in his fifth season with the Desperados.
Other players considered for the ArenaFan.com Week Three Defensive Player of the Week were Ryan Bowers (Orlando Predators), E.J. Burt (Chicago Rush), Rashad Floyd (Colorado Crush), Willie Gary (Georgia Force), Eddie Moten (Philadelphia Soul), and Henry Taylor (New Orleans VooDoo).
Two-Way Player of the Week: Rodney Filer scored four rushing touchdowns on 10 carries for 43 yards on offenseand two tackles on defense in the Tampa Bay Storm's 61-47 loss to the Georgia Force. Filer, who was named second team All-Arena in 2003 at FB/LB, is in ninthe AFL season. Before joining the Storm in 2007, he played for the Iowa Barnstormers and New Yorks Dragons, for six seasons and the Las Vegas Gladiators for two seasons.
Other players considered for the ArenaFan.com Week Three Two-Way Player of the Week were DeJuan Alfonzo (Chicago Rush), Matt Huebner (Georgia Force), Will Pettis (Dallas Desperados), and Robert Thomas (Colorado Crush).
