The Only Thing the Austin Wranglers Have Left is Each Other

I predicted the Wranglers would take care of business in their home-finale last weekend against Orlando.
I was wrong.
I predicted that the playoff race would tighten up and some teams would be kissing their seasons goodbye as of last week.
I was wrong.
Now it is a fight. The Wranglers, with two road games remaining, must win road games and all the team has left now is each other. There will be no 13,000 fans, as there were at last week’s home finale. There will be no 10-year old boy waiting in line to greet the players after a tough fought game. All that is left is for head coach Skip Foster and his guys is each other.
In my eyes, the Wranglers have already gotten into the playoffs and, just as everyone knows, if you lose you go home.
They couldn’t have a more interesting situation. They should get the victory at Georgia and play New Orleans for a real shot at the ArenaBowl title. They could get revenge in their regular-season finale against a team that stunned them in the final minute a few weeks ago in Austin. If these guys cannot get fueled up for a situation like this, point blank, these guys do not deserve a shot at a championship this year. Will the Wranglers earn a shot at glory in the postseason? Tune in next week to find out.
