ArenaFan.com celebrates Twenty Years on the Internet

Even at twenty, site still strives to be the best media outlet for Arena Football news
Mount Olive, New Jersey – Today ArenaFan.com celebrates its birthday on the internet. Twenty years ago (April 27, 1998), a group of Arena Football League fans, headed by Kevin Sheller and David Carlson, bought Arenafan Magazine from Wade Kotar to launch an online-only internet site.
Their goal was to provide accurate and up-to-date Arena Football League news and information to online AFL fans, and to bolster the Arena Football League community both online and offline.
“Sometimes it's a little hard to believe that we've been covering the Arena Football League for 20 years, but it's exciting to think about.” stated ArenaFan’s current owner and Editor-in-Chief Joe Kauffman. “Our staff has put a lot of hard work into maintaining the website over the years, including many long nights of data entry, particularly in the early days. We've covered the ups and downs of the League over the years, and will continue to do so as long as there is an Arena Football League to cover.”
Since launch, the site has added many technology upgrades to keep fans involved. They include the message boards, Pick’em and ArenaFan-tasy football leagues. In the last 10 years alone, the site has over 23 million views.
