Twins Experience The True Meaning of Arena Football
Monday June 3, 2013
NEW ORLEANS (June 3, 2013) – The unique opportunity to catch a football at an Arena Football game is very high. In an average game, no less than 20 footballs will find their way into the stands. Given the fact that around 90 plays are run each game, that means a fan comes away with a football once every 4.5 plays.
Not only did the VooDoo break their eight game losing streak on Saturday, June 1, against the Cleveland Gladiators, but two very special young men had the time of their lives as they cheered on the VooDoo inside of the Mercedes Benz Superdome that Saturday night.
Identical twins, Joseph and Matthew Guichard, were lucky enough to “break it down” in the pre-game huddle and stand alongside the VooDoo players as the National Anthem was sung. Once the game had begun, the Guichard twins took their front row seats in the VooDoo end zone. However, it didn’t end there. As the first quarter was coming to an end, QB Kurt Rocco completed a 30-yard bomb to WR Donovan Morgan. After Morgan’s touchdown reception, he walked over to the Guichard twins and handed them the football. The excitement on their faces was priceless and ones of pure joy. Die hard VooDoo fan, Karen Gause was lucky enough to capture this heartwarming moment.
Not only did Donovan Morgan haul in four touchdown passes that night, he captured the hearts of two young men who, in turn, have showed everyone around them how to overcome adversity on a day to day basis.
