Rattlers snare a victory in the Big Easy

 Arizona showcases a winning performance on the NFL Network

 NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Arizona Rattlers prevailed in a shootout with the New Orleans VooDoo 61-53 on Friday night (May 20).

QB NICK DAVILA completed 26-of-31 passes for 314 yards and seven touchdowns, finding WR TRANDON HARVEY four times (six catches, 86 yards) in the endzone. Harvey also took a kickoff return 45 yards for a score at the 3:07 mark of the second quarter to make the score 40-33 in Arizona's favor.

Also making an impact in the receiving game was WR ROD WINDSOR, who eclipsed the 100-yard receiving mark for the eighth time this season with a 13-catch, 162-yard and two-touchdown performance.

Defensively, LB KEVIN MCCULLOUGH and DB VIRGIL GRAY snared two errant passes from VooDoo QB D Bryant; while DB VINCE HILL was able to make a touchdown saving interception late in the fourth quarter that bounced off of the dasher board and a scrum of VooDoo players.

In his season debut, Bryant completed 25-of-34 passes for 285 yards and six touchdowns. He spotted WR PJ Berry for three scores (12 catches, 154 yards).

The New Orleans defense was unable to force any turnovers.

A DB MARQUIS FLOYD 10-yard touchdown on an on-side kick recovery allowed the Rattlers to go up 61-47 with four minutes left in the fourth quarter, giving Arizona its first two score lead of the game and allowing the squad to hold on to the win.
