The first instance of the original AFL Logo to appear in print was on the front page of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
1997-Kanata, ON
The Corel Center hosts the first regular season Arena Football League game in Canada as the Florida Bobcats defeat the New Jersey Red Dogs, 44-28, before a crowd of 7,098.
2005-Tampa, FL
The AFL completes week 16 of the 2005 regular season setting the single week record for best average attendance: 15,045. The Tampa Bay Storm lead the week with 18,244.
2008-New York, NY
The AFL's board of directors unanimously approved the use of instant replay as an officiating tool that was to start during the 2008 playoffs. This was the first time ever instant replay was used in the AFL. Each coach had a total of two challenges per game that could be used at anytime during regulation.
