The SaberCats got off to a rough start against the Barnstormers on Saturday as they began the game with a crucial fumble by kick returner Fred Williams on the opening kickoff forced by Barnstormers fullback Kai Brown. Then Iowa recovered the ball and quickly responded with a drive downfield to take a hold of their first lead of the night. From then on throughout the first half of the game each team traded scores. The Barnstormers closed the half with a field goal to gain a three point advantage heading into the third quarter.

SaberCats Looking to Get Second Straight Win in IowaLeanne Cozart, ArenaFan.comThe (8-3) San Jose SaberCats are traveling to Iowa this week to take on the (5-7) Iowa Barnstormers. Coming off of a recent 68-54 win against the Pittsburgh Power, the SaberCats will be hoping to spark a new winning streak in Iowa’s barn. However, the Barnstormers are coming off of a snapped three-game losing streak as they defeated the Cleveland Gladiators 37-33 last week and will be looking to keep this late season momentum going.
