There was one game on the Arena Football League schedule this year that I immediately zeroed in on when the schedule was released. That game was last Friday night’s matchup in Columbus between the Destroyers and the Atlantic City Blackjacks.

The Columbus Destroyers, presented by GermainCars.com, defeated the Atlantic City Blackjacks, 54-50, in front of 6,029 fans at Nationwide Arena on Friday night. With the win, the Destroyers improve to 1-6 on the season.

The Atlantic City Blackjacks (3-4) started their four-game road trip at Nationwide Arena in front of 6,029 fans against the Columbus Destroyers (1-6). This was a back and forth game all the way through, but the Blackjacks couldn’t find more late game heroics.

The Atlantic City Blackjacks (3-3) will head to Columbus to take on the Destroyers (0-6) to start their four-game road trip on Friday, June 7. The Blackjacks sit in second place tied with Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington.
