Toliver Becomes AFL All-Time Leader In All-Purpose Yards

Tampa Bay Storm wide receiver T.T. Toliver caught a 16-yard pass from quarterback Jason Boltus with 8:29 left in the first quarter to become the Arena Football League’s All-Time Leader in All-Purpose Yards. Toliver surpassed AFL Hall of Famer Barry Wagner who set the mark with 21,042 yards. He now has 21,056 all-purpose yards.

Records and stats certainly tell one side of a game. Los Angeles, who so far has been in the middle of the pack this season, have controlled all of the teams in the AFL who have been under .500. In fact, five of their six wins have been against those teams, and each game hasn’t been close. It was the same result against the Tampa Bay Storm. A 40-6 routing in the first two quarters had set the tone the rest of the way.

The Tampa Bay Storm (1-11, 0-6) heads to the Honda Center to take on the LA KISS (5-7, 3-3) this Monday, July 11. The Storm enters the final stretch of the season still searching for its second win. Fans will be able to catch all of the action as Darek Sharp and Ian Beckles make the call for 620 AM WDAE. The game can also be streamed on the Lightning Power Play through the iHeartRadio app. The game will be broadcast on Univision Deportes. Kickoff is set for 10:00 p.m. ET.
