LAS VEGAS (August 7, 2016) – The Arena Football League’s Conference Championship matchups are now set for next weekend as the Road to ArenaBowl XXIX completed the first round of the postseason on Sunday night. ArenaBowl XXIX is scheduled for Friday, August 26 at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
2016 POSTSEASON CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND
NATIONAL CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
- · Saturday, August 13: No. 3 Cleveland Gladiators (8-9) at No. 1 Arizona Rattlers (14-3), 9:30 p.m. ET at Talking Stick Resort Arena (CBS Sports Network).
AMERICAN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
- · Sunday, August 14: No. 3 Jacksonville Sharks (8-9) at No. 1 Philadelphia Soul (14-3), 6 p.m. ET at PPL Center in Allentown, PA (ESPN2).
In the American Conference, the No. 1 seeded Philadelphia Soul defeated the No. 4 seeded Tampa Bay Storm, 63-41, on Sunday night, while the No. 3 seeded Jacksonville Sharks upset the No. 2 seed Orlando Predators, 69-68, in overtime on Saturday night.
In the National Conference, the No. 1 seeded Arizona Rattlers defeated the No. 4 seeded Portland Steel, 84-40, on Saturday night, while the No. 3 seeded Cleveland Gladiators defeated the No. 2 seeded Los Angeles KISS, 56-52, on Sunday night.
