Tampa Bay acquires offensive lineman Jermarcus Hardrick
TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Storm has acquired offensive lineman Jermarcus “Yoshi” Hardrick, announced Storm Vice President of Football Operations Jeff Gooch.
“We are happy that Jermarcus has joined the Storm,” said Gooch. “He has the ability to be a game changer on offense and we know that he will come out and be ready to compete immediately.”
Hardrick (6-foot-6, 330 lbs., Nebraska) enters his second season in the AFL with the Storm. The Batesville, Mississippi native began his AFL career with the Utah Blaze in 2013, starting in 13-of-13 games on the offensive line. Hardrick spent the 2014 season with the B.C. Lions of the Canadian Football League. He began his professional career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers when he was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2012. He also spent time with the New Orleans Saints during the 2012 season.
Hardrick played collegiately at Fort Scott Community College (KS) before settling in at Nebraska. He would start in 13-of-27 games for the Huskers, helping lead an offensive line that allowed the Huskers to rank 15th nationally in rushing offense (217.2 YDS/G).
