Pittsburgh Power Extends Lease With CONSOL Energy Center Through 2016 Season

 All Season Ticket Prices Lowered & Individual Game Tickets Reduced For 2014

PITTSBURGH, PA – The Pittsburgh Power have signed a three-year extension to their lease at CONSOL Energy Center through the 2016 Arena Football League season, it has been announced by the team, the Pittsburgh Penguins and building manager, AEG.

The agreement includes the same attendance provisions as the original lease that if fulfilled; includes an automatic three- year addition through 2019. “I am thrilled to announce that the Pittsburgh Power are here to stay,” said Matt Shaner, Co- Owner. “The Pittsburgh Penguins’ unwavering support of our franchise and our collaborative partnership with AEG continue to give us the stability we need as we commit to our fans and the region that we intend to bring an ArenaBowl Championship to Pittsburgh,” Shaner exclaimed.

In conjunction with the lease extension, the Power have announced that all 2014 season ticket prices have been lowered and that 70 percent of CONSOL Energy Center’s lower bowl individual tickets have been reduced as well. Season ticket packages for the nine-game home schedule start at 2-for-$99 endzone seats ($5.50 per ticket), sideline for $90, club (including free parking) for $150 and first three rows at $225. All season ticket packages include a premium gift, discounted parking and select food and beverage preferred pricing. Season tickets purchased this year will also lock in pricing through the 2016 season. Individual game tickets will be $15 (endzone), $25 (sideline), $35 (club) and $50 (first three rows), a reduction of up to 67 percent based on 2013 individual game pricing. Lynn Swann, Power Co-Owner and NFL Hall of Famer, is pleased with the franchise’s new ticket strategy. “We want to continue to put our fans first and provide the most affordable and exciting sports and entertainment experience in the area. We looked at our pricing the first three seasons, and in conjunction with our on-the-field results, we felt that we owed it to the fans to reward them for their loyalty and to make sure that price would not be an objection whatsoever to anyone,” Swann remarked. `

The Arena Football League’s free agency signing period begins today, and the Power will be active in rebuilding the franchise for next season, which will kick off in March, 2014.
