DL, Antron Dillon returns with a two year deal and FB, Draylen Ross assigned to a one year deal
Scottsdale, Ariz. – Defensive Lineman, Antron Dillon has been assigned to the Arizona Rattlers for a two year deal. Fullback, Draylen Ross has been assigned to the Rattlers for a one year contract with an option.
Dillon, a 27 year old from Gulfport, Mississippi, stands 6’5 tall and weighs in at 270 pounds. Dillon played at Vanderbilt, Southwest Mississippi Community College and Northern Alabama. The defensive lineman was a two-year starter and three-year letterman at Northern Alabama as the team captain. He played both defensive end and linebacker his senior year notching 62 tackles, 15 sacks one interception and one fumble recovery. This season will be Dillon’s second season with the Rattlers and in the Arena Football League (AFL).
"I have high expectations for Antron this season after learning from a very talented group of players. He has all the physical attributes to be successful as a pass rusher in this league," said Arizona Rattlers General Manager and Head Coach, Kevin Guy.
Ross, a 24 year old from Fort Worth, Texas, stands 6’2 tall and weighs in at 271 pounds. Ross was on the NFL’s Chicago Bears practice squad for 11 weeks then signed to a reserve right contract after the Bears season before being released prior to training camp. A former tight end out of the University of North Texas, Ross played in all 12 games for the Mean Green his last year. Ross finished the season with 22 tackles and had two tackles for losses and one sack.
“We are excited to finally get Ross in here after signing him last year and the Bears picking him up,” Said Guy. “We feel he has the power and athleticism to play the full back position. Can’t wait to see him compete in camp.”
