Gladiators win third-straight game with 41-24 victory over Orlando

 Defense forces four turnovers

CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Gladiators improved to 3-1 with a 41-24 win over the Orlando Predators in front of 4,149 at Quicken Loans Arena on Easter Sunday. The Predators (0-4) remain winless on the year.

Dominick Goodman, fresh off a five-touchdown performance a week ago in Philadelphia, caught 10 passes for 79 yards and four touchdowns in the win. He and quarterback John Dutton have now connected on nine touchdown passes combined in the last two games. Robert Redd led all receivers with 105 receiving yards on 10 catches, scoring twice.

Dutton finished the game 22-of-32 for 209 yards, six touchdowns and no interceptions.

Predators quarterback Collin Drafts threw for 235 yards on 24-of-39 passing, three touchdowns and two interceptions. Dwayne Eley Jr. was the recipient of all three of the passing scores.

Defensively for the Gladiators, Derrick Boyd intercepted his first two passes of the year and broke up three others. Almondo Sewell, Drew Berube, Tim Cheatwood and Jeramie Richardson all recorded sacks in the game. Sewell (2.5 for 15 yards) led the squad, while Berube (2.0 for 5 yards), Cheatwood (1.0 for 2 yards) and Richardson (0.5 for 1 yard) rounded out the pack.

The Gladiators are now tied with the Philadelphia Soul atop the East Division of the American Conference at 3-1.

The Cleveland Gladiators next travel to Florida on April 13th to take on the Tampa Bay Storm. Kickoff is set for 7:30 at the Tampa Bay Times Forum.
