AFL makes change to National Game of the Week broadcast schedule
Thursday May 27, 2010
TULSA- The Tampa Bay Storm versus the Alabama Vipers game has been changed from Saturday, June 12 to Friday, June 11, 2010 to accommodate the NFL Network’s broadcast of Arena Football Friday. The Game of the Week was originally slated to be the Tulsa Talons at the Dallas Vigilantes.
“We are excited that the NFL Network has chosen to showcase an extremely important home game against our new division rival Tampa Bay Storm,'' said Alabama managing partner Ron Evans.
The Vipers, sixth in the current AFL coaches poll, will face the ninth ranked Tampa Bay Storm in a pivotal match up of division rivals. The Vipers and Storm are among the AFL leaders in team defense.
“We are pleased to now have all 15 teams receiving NFL Network national coverage,” said AFL Commissioner Jerry B. Kurz. “This will be a great game, and we hope that both the Vipers and Storm faithful who are unable to make it to the venue will tune in to watch.”
