Cleveland Gladiators announce 2010 open player tryout in Atlanta

CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Gladiators are pleased to announce the team will hold an open player tryout on Saturday, February 27, 2010, in Atlanta, Georgia. The Atlanta tryout is the second of two schedule dates, with the first being set for Super Bowl Sunday in Cleveland.

Registration for the open player tryout begins at 8:15 a.m. with the workout beginning promptly at 9:30 p.m. Silverbacks Sports Center is located at 4285 Brogdon Exchange, Suwanee, Georgia, 30024. All participants must be 18 years of age or older as of February 27.

The cost of participating in the open player tryout is $70. There is no pre-registration for the event and cash will be the only accepted payment. The fee is non-refundable.

Gladiators Head Coach STEVE THONN and his staff will be evaluating all players in attendance.

Players will be tested in the standing broad jump, 40-yard dash and short shuttle. Following testing, players will be evaluated in a variety of specific position drills.

Players should wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the tryout. Molded or screw-in cleats are permitted.
