American Conference
1a – Macon (7-2). The Knights get a huge win over previously undefeated Augusta.
1b – Augusta (7-1). The Stallions hold a slim lead over Macon, but the Knights are playing great football.
3 – Albany (7-1). Albany shows they are for real as they beat Richmond on the road.
4 – Richmond (7-1). The dream of matching the Steamwheelers undefeated season dies in a fourth quarter collapse.
5 – Cape Fear (6-2). The Wildcats pull to within a game of first place with their win over Roanoke.
6 – Tallahassee (6-2). WR Cainon Lamb catches 5 TD’s in a win over Mobile.
7 – Jacksonville (4-4). Tomcats even the score against Columbus with a 64-58 win.
8 – Rochester (5-4). It is hard to figure out this team.
9 – Florida (4-4). The Firecats end their four-game losing streak.
10 – Roanoke (4-5). The Steam lose a pair of important games to Cape Fear.
11 – Norfolk (3-5). QB Chris Wallace throws for 7 TD’s in a 63-36 win over Greensboro.
12 – Charleston (3-5). The Swamp Foxes are shut out in the first half against Florida.
13 – New Haven (3-5). New Haven sweeps their two game set with Mohegan.
14 – Carolina (2-6). The Rhinos are embarrased as Louisville beats them for their first victory.
15 – Greensboro (2-7). The Prowlers drop their fourth in a row.
16 – W.B./Scranton (2-7). Former QB John Knust catches 4 TD’s in a 57-52 win over Rochester.
17 – Columbus (2-6). WR Phil Taylor catches 5 TD’s, but Columbus still falls to Jacksonville.
18 – Mohegan (3-6). Another close loss for the Wolves.


National Conference
1 – Tulsa (7-1). The Talons are on a 6-game winning streak.
2 – Tennessee Valley (7-1). The Vipers are fortunate to escape with a one-point win over Pensacola.
3 – Birmingham (6-2). The Steeldogs hang on for a 47-35 win over Bossier City.
4 – Peoria (7-2). No truth to the rumor that Eastern Michigan Univ. has an accredited post-graduate program in Peoria.
5 – Arkansas (5-3). Ricky Hebert throws for 5 TD’s in a 48-18 romp over Memphis.
6 – Bossier City (5-4). The Battle Wings start slow and fall to Birmingham, 47-35.
7 – Bakersfield (6-2). The Blitz make a statement with a big win over Fresno.
8 – Quad Cities (5-3). Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers……and now Tennessee Valley.
9 – Pensacola (3-5). A missed two-point conversion in the final seconds costs Pensacola, 40-39.
10 – Fresno (3-6). The Frenzy lose “The Battle of Highway 99” to Bakersfield, 70-16.
11 – Memphis (4-5). That’s four losses in a row for the Xplorers.
12 – San Diego (4-5). A big game looms this Saturday in Bakersfield.
13 – Wichita (2-7). The Stealth fall back to earth in a 63-29 loss at Tulsa.
14 – Louisville (1-7). The losing streak is over.
15 – Hawaiian (1-8). The Islanders blow a halftime lead and fall to San Diego, 44-34.
16 – Mobile (0-9). The Wizards are playing better, but still remain winless.
