Parker and Taylor earn All-Arena recognition

Two defenders lead Dragons to second-best league defense

(June 25, 2008) - DB Billy Parker and DL Henry Taylor have earned 2008 All-Arena First Team honors, as announced by the AFL on Wednesday.

Parker, one of three defensive backs to be named to the First Team, ranked fourth in the league with 22 passes defended and finished first in the National Conference with eight interceptions. A graduate of William & Mary, Parker finished his third season with the Dragons.

Taylor in his first season with the Dragons tied for second in the AFL with 9.5 sacks. With Taylor at the helm of the defensive line, the Dragons allowed only 107 touchdowns against, which ranked second in the league. 

Parker, Taylor and the Dragons take on the Desperados in Dallas on Friday at 7:30 pm ET in a first round playoff matchup.
