Force WR Carl Morris named AFL Ironman of the Week

FLOWERY BRANCH, GA – The Arena Football League has announced that Georgia Force (10-5) WR Carl Morris has been named AFL Ironman of the Week for his performance against the Chicago Rush last Saturday night.
 
Morris, 6-3, 220 pounds, hauled in eight receptions for 103 yards with a game-high four touchdowns on offense in Georgia’s 50-47 win over Chicago, and added 1.5 tackles on defense. The win secured the Force’s second consecutive Southern Division Title and their third in the last four years. This is the second time in three weeks that Morris has received league honors. He was named AFL Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts vs. Tampa Bay in Week 14. Morris has appeared in all 15 games for the Force and has played a role on both the offensive side and defensive side of the ball. He leads all Force receivers with 118 grabs for 1,321 yards with 23 touchdowns and has added two carries for two yards and one score on the ground. Defensively, he has collared nine tackles, one fumble recovery, one forced fumble, one blocked field goal and one safety.
