National Conference
1 – Tennessee Valley (5-0). Reggie Worthy scores six TD’s in a 57-46 win over Memphis.
2 – Tulsa (5-1). The Talons rack up 46 second half points in defeating Arkansas, 85-42.
3 – Birmingham (5-1). It’s a battle for first place in the Southern division when Birmingham travels to Tennessee Valley.
4 – Memphis (4-2). QB Tim Lester is intercepted four times in a 57-46 loss to the Vipers.
5 – Peoria (4-2). The Pirates make a statement with an 81-56 win over the Steamwheelers.
6 – Quad Cities (4-1). The Wheelers self-destruct in the fourth quarter at Peoria.
7 – Bossier City (3-3). The Battlewings enjoy a laugher over Mobile, 65-7.
8 – Bakersfield (4-1). The Blitz host Peoria this Saturday.
9 – Arkansas (3-3). The Twisters lose an important division match-up at Tulsa.
10 – San Diego (3-3). A field goal as time runs out gives San Diego a 52-50 win over the Islanders.
11 – Pensacola (2-3). The Barracudas blow a fourth quarter lead in a loss to Birmingham.
12 – Fresno (1-5). The Frenzy break into the win column with a win over Wichita.
13 – Wichita (1-5). Wichita’s offense is improving, but their defense isn’t.
14 – Hawaiian (1-5). The Islanders suffer a heartbreaking loss at home to San Diego.
15 – Louisville (0-5). Louisville’s best chance for a win in 2002 is on Saturday when Columbus visits.
16 – Mobile (0-6). Only 53 yards of offense in a 65-7 loss to Bossier City.



American Conference
1 – Richmond (6-0). The Speed come off of a bye-week by hosting Greensboro.
2 – Augusta (5-0). The Stallions win an important division battle against Macon, 48-47.
3 – Macon (4-2). Macon will try to rebound when they host Pensacola Friday.
4 – Albany (4-1). QB Ryan Vena throws four TD passes to Corey Hill in a 41-35 win over Mohegan.
5 – Roanoke (4-2). Roanoke puts up 161 yards of total offense, but it is emough to win, 27-23.
6 – Cape Fear (3-2). Wildcats defense shuts down Charleston, 38-19.
7 – Tallahassee (3-2). First place in the Southern division is up for grabs when the Thunder host Florida on Saturday.
8 – Jacksonville (2-3). The Tomcats defense shines in a 43-24 win over Florida.
9 – Florida (3-2). Florida’s defensive coordinator was fired last week. The offensive coordinator should now be worried after a 43-24 loss.
10 – Carolina (2-3). Rhinos win their second in a row after a 56-42 win at Greensboro.
11 – Charleston (2-3). Charleston finally gets to play a home game after suffering their third straight loss.
12 – Rochester (3-3). The Brigade is excited to get OS Derek Baker back.
13 – New Haven (2-3). The expansion Ninjas are in position for a playoff spot in the Northeast Division.
14 – Greensboro (2-4). The Prowlers are on a two-game losing streak, and now Richmond comes to town.
15 – Norfolk (1-4). Norfolk blows a fourth quarter lead at home in a 27-23 loss to Roanoke.
16 – Mohegan (2-4). The Wolves are on a three-game losing streak.
17 – Columbus (1-4). The Wardogs start off slow in a 52-28 loss to Tallahassee.
18 – W.B./Scranton (0-6). The Pioneers eliminate the turnovers but are edged by Rochester, 57-52.
