Orlando's McEntyre named defensive player of the week

ORLANDO, FL-- The Orlando Predators Kenny "The Glove" McEntyre (5-10, 175, Kansas St.) registered two tackles, two interceptions that were each returned for touchdowns, one pass defensed and one forced fumble as the Orlando Predators (7-3) defeated the San Jose SaberCats (5-5), 61-35, on Saturday. McEntyre’s first interception came during San Jose’s second possession of the first quarter. His interception and nine-yard touchdown return gave the Predators an early 17-7 lead. With the SaberCats on Orlando’s 15-yard line during the second quarter, McEntyre forced San Jose WR/DB JAMES ROE to fumble, allowing Predators teammate DB AHMAD CARROLL to recover and preserve Orlando’s 20-point lead. McEntyre’s second interception came during the SaberCats’ final drive into the Predators red zone. On first-and-goal from Orlando’s 19-yard line, he intercepted QB MARK GRIEB and returned it 47 yards to seal the victory.
