Kinsinger Lost for Season

Thursday March 6, 2008

Chicago Rush fullback Matt Kinsinger underwent successful surgery this afternoon to repair a ruptured patellar tendon in his left knee, the team announced today.

Kinsinger, who suffered the injury in the second quarter of Monday night’s win over San Jose, will be lost for the season.

The surgery was performed by doctors Chris Giannoulias and Kevin Tu at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.

“The surgery went extremely well and we anticipate that Matt will make a complete recovery,” said Rush physician Raj Khanna, M.D.  “His rehab will take approximately six to eight months, which means Matt should be healthy and ready to play for the start of the 2009 season.”
