Flag Day in Arizona

Oklahoma has been penalized 95 times for 528 yards. That`s 58.7 yards a game. Yes. A game. Well last night they outdid themselves. They were penalized 14 times for 77 yards. Gotta keep the average up you know. The officials were so busy, three of the guys working referee Jim Lapetina`s crew are going to need rotator cuff surgery. Most plays had two flags; pass interference and roughing the passer, Oklahoma gets ya at both ends of a play.
And now about the game. Neither team must have had their siestas yesterday because they slept through the first half. Maybe they were out in the 112 degree heat. Welcome to Arizona.
The second half was somewhat better -- at least for Arizona; they managed fourteen points in each of the 3rd and 4th quarters. Oklahoma liked scoring only seven a quarter and kept it up for the whole game. Of course, it`s hard to get any momentum when you have to wait for the Zebras to explain what you did wrong.

Lopez`s ankle problems weren`t apparent last night, he was 19 of 34 for 294 yards and two INT`s.
Danny White needs to get the offense a transfusion. Bonner had another sub par outing, 16 of 33 for 185 yards.
Arizona has a bye, and doesn`t play again until July 3, where you ask? In Oklahoma. The officials` crew had better limber up their arms, there`re in for a work out.
