However, thanks to the efforts of David Colbert (aka NashKat), a new message board was created for the Music City’s Arena Football faithful. The address is: www.seaau.com/nashafl/index.html
“I just wanted to give longtime fans of the Nashville Kats a place to continue to talk, vent, and visit with all the people who have become friends over the years when the Kats were in town,” says Colbert, who sponsors, runs, and manages the new board.
As a longtime Arena Football fan himself, dating back to the Tampa Bay Storm’s reign in the Thunderdome, Colbert also realized that there were a lot of hard feelings amidst the board’s regulars aimed at the Kats’ ownership and the Arena Football League in general. Colbert didn’t want these ill feelings to spill over when Nashville was awarded a new franchise.
“I didn’t want any of the local Nashville fans to turn away from a new team that we hope Bud Adams will field very soon,” he says. “This board was basically a way for us fans to stay informed and continue our friendships online.”
For Colbert, who also maintains other websites in his spare time, it was a pleasure to build the message board for Nashville Arena Football fans. “It is a labor of love and I am happy to do it,” he says.
So if you’re ever in the neighborhood stop by the “New Nashville AFL Expansion Message Board” at www.seaau.com/nashafl/index.html to discuss topics such as the dispersal draft, league trades, and Nashville’s expansion franchise with the board’s knowledgeable and informed regulars.
