“We have lost two now very late in the game,” said Fury Coach Mouse Davis, “We have to find a way to finish. We are badly in need of a win, and we are playing a team that is also badly in need of a win. So we have some things in common.”
Davis believes the key to the second half is simple for the Fury.
“Getting the next win is always the biggest key,” said Davis. “You have to get on that roll before anything else happens. We need that next win to get on a movement toward the playoffs.”
The Fury will not look past the struggling Mustangs. Realizing there is too much talent in Milwaukee to chalk the game up as a win too early.

Davis echoes his quarterback’s comments. “They are a good team. And with McDougal back and playing well, we need to put a damper on that.”
Needing a Kick
Getting ready for the final seven games, the coaches are continuing to tweak the roster. The team is auditioning their fourth kicker of the regular season. J.R. Jenkins joins the team this week. He is the third different kicker in three weeks for the Fury, who rank19th in the AFL in kicking and have not made a field goal yet this season.
