A Perfect Game Makes for Wranglers Win

Wranglers QB Ron Lopez tossed four touchdown passes to four different receivers. Oklahoma’s fullbacks scored three rushing touchdowns. There were no fumbles, no interceptions, and the offensive line did not give up a sack.
Meanwhile, Milwaukee maintained its reputation as one of the best winless teams in league history. The Mustangs consistently play slightly below the level of play of their opponents. Milwaukee has played the league’s toughest schedule and has played its best games against its toughest foes. Against Oklahoma, the Mustangs committed no turnovers and committed fewer penalties. They simply failed to score on two of their eight possessions and that was the difference in the game.
The Oklahoma win snapped a five game losing streak. The Wranglers now go back on the road. This week they play at Arizona and the following week they’ll meet Houston on neutral turf in Lubbock.
Oklahoma’s last-second loss at Los Angeles now looks a little more respectable. The Avengers upset mighty San Jose last week. Both teams still have a date with the Wranglers in the Myriad.
