“We made some mistakes, way too many penalties, three picks, two that we should not have,” said Davis. “Overall we had a lot of positives.”
Davis placed as much responsibility with himself and his coaching for the loss. “We have to do a better job with substitution than we did, and that is my responsibility,” said Davis. “Chuck Levy is going to be our Iron-Man, and he only plays 25 downs of offense because we made mistakes on substitution.”

After the Fury struggled out of the gate in the season opener in Carolina, they return home to the Palace of Auburn Hills to take on the undefeated Oklahoma Wranglers. Davis realizes that Oklahoma’s 2-0 record will make a victorious home debut a daunting task.
“Oklahoma has had the top defense in the league last season,” said Davis. “(Ron) Lopez does a good job of taking care of the ball. They are a pretty good football team.”
Davis is excited at the first chance for his team to play in front of a nearly sold-out arena. At the time of this writing, only about 1,500 tickets remain.
“We have the potential to play in front of the largest crowd in Arena Football this season, and even possibly a sell out,” said Davis. “I think that says a lot about Detroit, and the tremendous football fans here.”
