AFL Expansion Draft results

For the first time since 2006, the Arena Football League held an expansion draft. The draft was necessitated by the addition of the LA KISS and Portland Thunder franchises.

If a team loses two roster players, they have the option to protect the remaining players for the duration of the draft.

Here are the results from the expansion draft:

Los Angeles- DB Mervin Brookins (IA)

Round 6
Portland- OL Isaac Morales (Jax)
Los Angeles- OL Isaac Leatiota (SA)

Round 7
Portland- DL SIone Fakalata (Phl)
Los Angeles- DL Dominie Pittman (Pit)

Round 8
Portland- WR Tyler Beiler (Pit)
Los Angeles- Pass

Round 9
Portland- QB Shane Boyd (TB)
Los Angeles- Pass

6 teams (Rattlers, Talons, Sabercats, Power, Storm, and Sharks) lost 2 players. 4 teams (Shock, Barnstormers, Soul, and Voodoo) lost 1 player. and 2 teams (Gladiators and Predators) lost none.
