Not So Fast - Storm Stick With Old Helmet

After initially deciding to alter the logo on the helmet of the Tampa Bay Storm, the team, recently purchased by orthopedic surgeon Robert Nucci, has decided to stick with their more familiar logo.
The new logo was going to picture the oversized hurricane “swirl” that represents the “O” in the word “Storm” on the current/old logo in royal blue. No text was planned to be a part of the new design.
However, the logo change was finalized before the team was sold to Dr. Nucci, and the feeling within the franchise was that there were other priorities.
Those priorities are a billboard campaign that is putting the Tampa Bay Storm on every major highway and thoroughfare in the Tampa Bay area. Also, the Storm offices have been equipped with new televisions, video, and computer hardware.
“There is a brand new look and feel to the offices,” said Storm Public Relations Director Jim Robinson.
Whether the new, redesigned Storm helmet will ever surface on the field in the future has yet to be determined.
