Harrell, Carter and Ingram Named Players of the Week by ArenaFan Online Writers

For their performances during the first week of the Arena Football League 2006 season, Damian Harrell (OS, Colorado Crush), Frank Carter (FB/LB, Nashville Kats) and Kevin Ingram (WR/LB, Los Angeles Avengers) have been named Offensive Player of the Week, Defensive Player of the Week, and Two-Way Player of the Week, respectively, by the writers and staff of ArenaFan Online.

Offensive Player of the Week: Damian Harrell caught seven passes for 111 yards and four touchdowns to help the Colorado Crush defeat the Chicago Rush 65-56. Harrell's final 11-yard touchdown grab was the game-winner with one second remaining on the clock. He is in his fourth year with the Colorado Crush. Now in his 8th AFL season, he was the League's Offensive Player of the Year in 2004.

Other players considered for the ArenaFan Online Week One Offensive Player of the Week were John Dutton (Colorado), Clint Dolezel (Dallas), Joe Germaine (Utah) and Tony Graziani (Philadelphia).

Defensive Player of the Week: Frank Carter amassed four sacks and 5.5 tackles to help lead the Nashville Kats to a 57-28 win over the New York Dragons. Carter, in his first year with the Kats after playing four seasons with the Gladiators, was a first team All-Arena selection in 2005.

Other players considered for the ArenaFan Online Week One Defensive Player of the Week were Nate Coggins (Georgia), Kenny McEntyre (Orlando), and Damon Mason (Austin).

Two-Way Player of the Week: Kevin Ingram had seven receptions for 126 yards and one touchdown on offense, and one interception, two total tackles and a pass breakup on defense to assist the Los Angeles Avengers to a 40-31 win over the Arizona Rattlers. His only touchdown of the day came with 18 seconds left in the game to give L.A. the lead for good. Ingram, now in his sixth year, was the AFL's Ironman of the Year in 2005, and was named to the League's All-Arena and All-Ironman teams in both 2004 and 2005.

Other players considered for the ArenaFan Online Week One Two-Way Player of the Week were Mike Brown (Philadelphia), Scott Cloman (Orlando), Jarrick Hillery (Nashville), and Will Pettis (Dallas).
