White May Shuffle Rampage Coaching Deck

According to sources, the decision to choose a head coach for the Grand Rapids Rampage may include a late addition to the already bizarre five-man jigsaw puzzle. The Rampage, who won only one game last year, reportedly hope to also include recently dismissed Danny White in their discussions to find a new coach heading into next year.

White, who won two ArenaBowls in Arizona with the Rattlers, would lend instant credibility to a franchise that has lost a lot of respect in the last year. However, the main question would have to be will the Rampage brass pony the amount of coin necessary to get a prominent name to come to Grand Rapids? After all, we are talking about the team that spent the least amount of money on players in the entire league last year. I know the Grand Rapids area is a fine community, but White will not be going there cheap. With an organization that pinched pennies more than anyone last year, there is nothing to suggest that management would be prepared to make that kind of financial commitment.

One thing is for sure though, this search to find a new head coach will get a lot muddier before it gets any clearer.
