ALBANY, N.Y. – The Albany Empire of the Arena Football League (AFL) today announced WNYA MY4, will air all of its games this season, both home and away. This is the first season games will be made available on local broadcast television.

WNYA will begin its coverage of the 2019 Albany Empire on Saturday, April 27 at 7:00 p.m., as the Albany Empire host the Columbus Destroyers at Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y. This opening-weekend matchup marks the first time the Destroyers will see Arena Football League action since 2008.

“Having all of our Empire games broadcast on regional television is such a great step for not only our team, but our League as well,” said George Manias, C.O.O. of the Albany Empire. “Our fans can now easily follow us when we are on the road, or when they cannot come in person and that will help us enlarge our following.
