Hills catches winning touchdown with three seconds left in regulation

TAMPA, FL – Joe Hills caught a three yard pass with three seconds remaining as the Tampa Bay Storm (5-1) defeated the Washington Valor (1-4), 53-47, Saturday night in an Arena Football League game at AMALIE® Area.

The win was the second in a row over the Valor (1-4), after the Storm won, 41-33, in the Nation’s Capitol last week.

Clock management in the final minute of any game can make the difference and for the second time, the Storm did it well.

It was Hills third score of the game and he ended with a game high 11 catches for 122 yards. He also was named the MVP of the game.

Quarterback Erik Meyer of the Valor was replaced by backup Bernard Morris for the remainder of the game. He took a hard hit at 6:40 of the fourth quarter.

Hippeard threw for 96 yards in the first half, but he picked it up in the third quarter connecting four of five, including two scores. He ended the night completing 19-of-31, no for 233 yards, seven touchdowns and zero interceptions
