Philadelphia's Tracy Belton named Uber Defensive Back of the Year

First Team All-Arena Performer Adds Another Award
LAS VEGAS (August 18, 2016) – The Arena Football League announces that Philadelphia Soul defensive back Tracy Belton has been named the 2016 Uber Defensive Back of the Year.
Belton (6’0, 180, Massachusetts) led the Soul with 90.0 total tackles, 29 passes defended, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble and an AFL leading nine interceptions. The sixth-year veteran returned three interceptions for touchdowns. Belton becomes the second Soul player to earn Defensive Back of the Year (Kent Richardson, 2012) in the history of the award.
One of Belton’s standout games occurred against Portland on June 27 when he tallied 9.0 total tackles and two interceptions in the Soul’s 59-38 victory. He also earned Riddell Defensive Player of the Game against the Arizona Rattlers on May 14 when he collected 9.5 total tackles, a fumble recovery and two passes defended in 65-58 home victory.
