Steel Want Fans to #FillTheBowl as They Debut Their New Look on April 1.

PORTLAND, Ore. - Beginning their third season of Arena Football League play in 2016, the new-look Portland Steel, behind the leadership of head coach and general manager Ron James, seek to build on back to back AFL postseason appearances with an eye toward ArenaBowl XXIX this August. The off-season acquisitions of All-Arena quarterback Shane Austin and standout wide receiver Nick Truesdell join returning veterans like linebacker Bryce Peila and center John Collins, proving the Steel will be a force to be dealt with in the Arena Football League this season.

In honor of the start of the 2016 AFL season, the Steel are inviting fans the chance to celebrate alongside them, as they make their full debut under the new name. Fans may reserve up to four (4) General Admission tickets, free of charge, for the April 1 match-up against the Arizona Rattlers, as they look to #FillTheBowl at Moda Center for the national television audience watching on the CBS Sports Network.

Current season ticket holders will be upgraded to the first ten (10) rows* of the following sideline sections: 101, 102, 103, 110, 111, 112, 113, 114, 121, 122. Doors at the Moda Center’s North Entrance will open at 5:30 p.m. to accommodate the upgrade for current ticket holders, who simply need to bring their season ticket to gain access to the upgrade. The doors will be open to the general public at 6 p.m.

Those who reserve tickets to the April 1st game will be automatically entered to win a “Day with the Steel” Experience, including exclusive access to practice, film sessions, and a meet and greet with players and coaches!

2016 Steel Training Camp is underway, with practice Monday beginning at 10 a.m. from the PDX Sports Center (8785 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy, Portland, OR 97225).
