harks Announce Details of Military Appreciation Night

 Saturday's game features ticket special, t-shirt, poster and jersey auction

JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Sharks will hold the team’s annual Military Appreciation Night this Saturday, May 16, as the Sharks host the Philadelphia Soul. Saturday’s game kicks off at 7:00 p.m. on Sea Best Field at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena. This year, Military Appreciation Night features several initiatives designed to support local military personnel via the Sharks’ partnership with Veteran Tickets Foundation.

“Jacksonville is a community with strong military ties, from active personnel and their families to those who bravely served our country in the past,” Sharks Operating Manager Jeff Bouchy said. “We are proud to support our local military personnel with a ticket special, as well as several unique items that will be available to our fans on Saturday.”

For Saturday’s game, all military personnel – both active and retired – and their families are eligible to receive Buy One, Get One Free tickets. To take advantage of this offer, military members may call the Sharks ticket office at 904-621-0700, visit jaxsharkstickets.com/military, or present a valid military ID at the arena box office.

On Saturday, Military Night T-Shirts and Attack Dance Team Military Posters will be available in exchange for a nominal donation to Veteran Tickets Foundation (VetTix), an organization that supports our local military by providing free event tickets to active military personnel, veterans and their families. Sharks-themed Military T-Shirts will be available outside the arena at SharkFest prior to the game, while fans may obtain the Military Poster at the Attack’s Pregame Signing, as well as at the Postgame Autograph Session.

Finally, Military Appreciation Night will culminate with a Postgame Jersey Auction, during which all Shark fans will be able to bid on the team’s game-worn unique military jerseys. Proceeds from the postgame auction will be donated to VetTix. The Jersey Auction will be held on the field following the conclusion of the game, during the Postgame Autograph Session.
