Welcome back Garner – How will the Sweathogs react to a return visit from last year’s kicker Nelson Garner? Principal Hennessey will be watching closely to find out if he made the right choice by letting Garner go to Arizona to kick at Rattler High. So far this season, Garner has made 3-of-7 seven field goal attempts and 14-of-15 extra point attempts. Clay Rush, who was brought in to replace Garner, has also connected on 3-of-7 field goal attempts and has hit 18-of-22 extra point attempts. After getting off to a rough start, Rush has hit 12 of his last 13 PATs.
The Courtship of Eddie’s Record – Eddie needs only 14 points to reach the 2000 point plateau in his pursuit of setting the all-time scoring record. Watch as Eddie and his family romp to a high scoring affair as everybody’s favorite offensive specialist nears the 12,000-yard mark for his career.
Cheers – What will happen when the gang gets together and TV doesn’t show up? NBC pulled their broadcast for this week’s Firebirds game despite the Firebirds’ 3-0 start. Bartender/QB Raymond Philyaw will dispense passes, he hasn’t dropped one yet this year, in hopes of keeping everyone happy, but without network coverage will “everyone know his name?”
M*A*S*H – It’s the show on which no one wants to be a regular. Starring DS Fred Booker, WR/LB Drew O’Connor, OL/DL Van Tuinei, WR/DB Terrance Blackwell, WR/LB Brett Bech, DS Greg Williams and WR/DB Donald Shoals. Watch the mad-cap group of misfits from the IR as they turn the training room on its ear. Will the gangs’ questionable prospects keep them from surgery or will they come through under battle conditions once again?
Coach – Head Coach Mike Dailey faces his biggest test of the year after starting 3-0. Can he get the team to build on an ugly win? Will Luther do something kooky to celebrate Coach’s 60 win? Tune in and find out!
I Love Leroy – Leroy and his buddy Rich Young get caught “in the box” and only one can get out at a time. Just watch what that wacky Leroy tries in an attempt to get out of the box and into the backfield without the opposing lineman realizing it.
Head of the Class – The kids discover some natural talent as they face the prospect of being unable to keep up with foreign exchange students from Arizona. They’ll need to study hard to score higher than their visitors and remain at “the head of the class” in the Central Division.
When’s Sweeps week again?
