Orlando Predators Business Club Hosts Sports Roundtable
Wednesday December 14, 2011
Panelists included Joe Kepner, David Baumann and Roger Franklin Williams
ORLANDO – The Orlando Predators Business Club hosted a sports roundtable discussion Wednesday morning at its weekly meeting at Smokey Bones on Colonial Drive.
Guest panelists included Joe Kepner of WFTV Channel 9, David Baumann of Bright House Sports Network and Roger Franklin Williams, host of "Talkin' Old School with Roger Franklin Williams" on 1080 ESPN Radio.
The special event was the first of several planned gatherings for the Orlando Predators Business Club.
Among topics discussed by the panel was the future of the Orlando Magic and Dwight Howard as well as the success of Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos. The group also talked about the future of the Orlando sports landscape, with the emergence of soccer and addition of hockey, and the proposed renovations to the Florida Citrus Bowl.
"It was a nice break from the typical meetings we’ve been having and was an excellent way to show off the club to our guests and visitors," said Mike Paige of Truly Nolen Pest Control.
Business Club President Barb Stewart, from Park Place Title Inc., agrees.
"This really gives our members something more than just the ability to network and share leads,” Stewart said. “It’s an added value for them and we look forward to doing more events like this."
