Gladiators to host first round game on July 31st at The Q

CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Gladiators are pleased to announce their playoff schedule for the 2011 Arena Football League postseason. The Gladiators clinched the American Conference East Division title last Friday night with a 67-55 victory over the Pittsburgh Power. By winning the division, Cleveland is guaranteed the #2 seed in the playoffs and a first round home game.
“We are excited to be hosting playoff football in Cleveland,” said Gladiators General Manager Phil Tesar. “This city has rallied around and supported us all season and now we feel like we get to return the favor.”
With their opponent still to be determined according to how the regular season finishes, the Gladiators’ playoff schedule is as follows:
HOME GAME 1 – SUNDAY, JULY 31 at 3 PM
*HOME GAME 2 – FRIDAY, AUGUST 5 at 8 PM (IF NECESSARY)
First round playoff tickets go on sale to the general public TOMORROW, TUESDAY JULY 19, at 10 AM. If necessary, tickets for the second round will go on sale at a later date. The NFL Network will continue to broadcast the AFL playoffs – culminating with ArenaBowl XXIV.
