Wranglers to hold football camps in July

Thursday July 6, 2006

AUSTIN—The Austin Wranglers announced that they will hold three football camps in July to reinforce the fundamentals and skills necessary to be a successful football player. The camps will be broken into three position areas: Wranglers Quarterback/Receiver Camp, Ironman Skills Camp and Lineman Camp.

All of the camps are open to ages 7-18 and will be held at the Round Rock ISD Stadium on Parmer Lane. The camps are broken into a morning period from 9 – 11:30 a.m., a lunch break, and then an afternoon period from 1 – 3:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided to all campers. Each camper must fill out the registration form and a Waiver of Liability prior to day one of the camp.

Several Austin Wranglers players, coaches and football operations personnel will be the instructors at the camp. Planning to attend are former University of Texas Longhorns Chance Mock, Aaron Humphrey and Greg Brown, along with Angelo State and Leander High School graduate Dane Krager. Wranglers Head Coach Brian Partlow and General Manager Glyn Milburn will also be participating. In addition to Milburn, former NFL players Jeff Blake, Robert Jones and others are planning to participate.

CATZ (Competitive Athlete Training Zone) will be on hand to conduct two 30-minute sessions that will utilize and build the campers speed, strength and endurance. CATZ will also talk to the campers about the important aspects of health, nutrition and fitness. Recognized as the premier provider of sports performance training for all ages, CATZ is the official strength and conditioning program of the Austin Wranglers.
